Poria mushroom has been used for memory, anxiety, fatigue, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. There is also no good evidence to support using poria mushroom for COVID-19.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: There isn't enough reliable information to know if poria mushroom is safe to use when pregnant or breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.Surgery: Poria mushroom might slow down the central nervous system (CNS). When combined with anesthesia and other medications used during and after surgery, this might slow down the CNS too much. Stop using poria mushroom as a medicine at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.

Some medications, called anticholinergic drugs, block the effects of acetylcholine in the body. Taking poria mushroom might decrease the effects of anticholinergic drugs.
Sedative medications (CNS depressants)
